Creating a Unique Elevated Coastal Guest Experience
Objective:
To design and curate a distinctive, elevated guest experience for the Central Coast of California that blends relaxation, playfulness, and wellness against the stunning ocean dunes of Monterey Bay.
Concept & Strategy:
Created guest experience strategy and design concept for a "California-Inspired Mind-Body Spirit Transformation" at Sanctuary Beach Resort. The vision was to evolve the coastal property's vibe into a more immersive, soulful, and memorable experience, highlighting wellness, joy, and playful luxury by the sea. Specifically targeting the new customer segment “dinks with dogs."

Ultimutt Dog Vacation
A first-of-its-kind coastal escape for canine guests and their owners.
Featured a beachside dog stick library, chef-crafted BARKcutterie boards, PAWtio, serving a dedicated dog-friendly
Guest rooms were enhanced with custom bowls, after-beach dog robes, paw-cleaning brushes, and sand tools for convenience and comfort.
Wellness & Renewal Programming
Transformed an underutilized boardroom into a light-filled Renewal & Yoga Studio, grounding the property in holistic wellness.
Introduced curated programming to support yoga, meditation, and renewal practices.
Installed custom 16' macramé panels inspired by the Monterey coastline and added cork flooring to create a warm, sunlit, nature-infused studio overlooking the gardens.
Seasonal & Lifestyle Activations
Launched new retail offerings and the Summer SOULstice Beach Wellness Series, connecting guests with seasonal, soulful moments.
Results & Impact
The Ultimutt Dog Vacation became a viral sensation, featured on Good Morning America, and celebrated globally across social media.
The press widely covered the experience. Vogue celebrated it as a luxury pet experience innovation, and resonated deeply with guests.
